It is extremely important to get your trees trimmed and pruned before the spring storm season.  Storm season is wicked in North Texas and can cause major damage.  I have weighted too long and let my tree get overgrown only to have a hole in my siding.

Branches get to heavy and and when they encounter storm wind they break and go through your siding.  Funny how that works so don’t let it happen to you.

So any way when is best time to trim your trees?I believe it is generally recommended to trim your trees, when they are dormant.  So Before April would be desirable. However, it typically gets one early spring  little later than the trees would prefer.  Clearing stump grinding and stuff like that can be done anytime.

But as you can tell the gist of the post is preseason tree trimming.  Waiting until after the spring storm season will likely cause your tree to look like crap and will ultimately result in broken branches and probably some property damage.

Over hanging branches are heavy and catch more wind and break….. Got it

Know what company…. to use.  Some of these guys are complete scams.  I have a small new company that are awesome. These guys are some of the best in business and are competitive  on the price point.  Last year, I knew we had a chance of storms and had them come cut out some branches that were overhanging my boat storage.  They were out the day I called them and did a stand up job.

North Texas has all a lot of water. Probably as much as anywhere in the State.  Which is the best state there is as far as I am concerned.  So how to enjoy all this water and lakes.

Do you have to have boat. …..

Heck no…. There are some many opportunities to enjoy the lakes and parks without having a boat.  Check out Lake Ray Roberts State Park if you are wanting to go somewhere without having a boat. They have everything form a beach and swimming areas to horse riding trails.  I don;t know how many trail s there are out there but  I bet there are many miles… for sure.

If you are into the party scene and have a boat or even better have friends with boats,  check out Lake Lewisville.  Head on over to Sneaky Petes or party cove and have yourself a great time. be careful though about drinking and driving the boat out there.  Not to mention it is dangerous but it, but lake patrol is everywhere.  If you are an avid waterspouts enthusiast than get there early or on the weekdays… it gets to crowded  on the weekends to be safe.

Ray Roberts is probably my favorite lake in North Texas.  it is not as popular but is a very good lake for water sports.  It gets little rough because it so big but is very enjoyable all the same.  You can only access the a portion o of the lake on a ski boat but there is still plenty of room. I hope it is helpful and you get out and soak up some sunshine.

 

North Texas is full of party bus and transportation companies.  Some good and some not so much…..

So what are you looking for?

DFW has around 8 million people and that would allow for a significant number of choices in transportation.

So first you have corporate companies that offer transportation and limo service. In my opinion these companies are very dependable but  just don’t have that personalized touch. These companies are great and normally offered ver standardized packages.  I would prefer to go with a smaller mom and pop.  I am not the biggest fan of these type of companies because i really like to doubleness with small businesses.

So let move on to the smaller limo and transportation companies that I prefer to use. So a word of caution you don’t want to to small.  So the question of what happens when book an event or wedding for that matter and the limo breaks down.  Some of these companies only one or two vehicles and have very limited ability to recover form something like that and uphold you reservation.

Pick a company that is well established and have been around  for several years.  You can look at copy write  information  on the webpage and get an idea of how long that have been around.  Check you want a company that has like 4-8 limos or buses and also look at the way there site is advertised.  If they are look for bachelor parties then they are not going to be as nice of limos as some of the others.

Then check out there reps and reviews online.   Be careful because those reviews can be very manipulated to say the least.
