This game can't go wrong in the multiplayer function either, especially when it shows you what kind of system it is that you just bought, a party system.
Its free how much better can you get
Excellent. Fun. Simple. What's more to love?
If you haven't already played a Wii, this is the game that will make you want one. How can I say this? This is exactly what happened to me when my friend brought over his Nintendo Wii for the first time.
I play sports games, and I love sports simulation games. I am a die-hard baseball, hockey, and soccer gamer. Wii Sports gave me what I've wanted, to put myself more into sports games. What this game shows the world is what is possible on the Wii. Its the first step towards a new generation of sports games.
In Wii Sports, you use/learn how the remote can be used in fun ways. For example, bowling. Bowling just might be the game to play in Wii Sports. Its seemless, its smooth, it handles great, and it feels like bowling.
The golf game in Wii Sports is just as fun as bowling. The use of the remote is extremely simple, making anyone who can regulate their swing into a golfer. Tennis is just as fun, and even more simplier, as the characters on screen move on their own, making your job that much easier. All you have to do in Tennis is decide what way to swing: forehand or backhand. That's it.
And the best thing about Wii Sports: it comes with the purchase of the Nintendo Wii. So you can get a amazing gaming experience without having to buy anything else besides the Wii.
If you like to play sports, this game is for you.
5/5.
......or should that be Wii wii wii? :D
Very simple games, very simple graphics, yet addictive as hell.
My favourites in order from most - least played are:
1) Tennis
2) Bowling = Golf (both just as fun as eachother...joint 2nd)
4) Boxing
5) American Rounders (the only poor game here, but the other 4 more than make up for it)
Of all the discs I own Wii Sports is the game I put in most often and one of the most fun so far on the Wii.
...an excellent addition to the console package and a FUN game.
Baseball is the worst, just not much to do.
Golf was a tricky guy at first, but I've gotten better at it. You just have to make sure you follow the instruction book. Mostly just look at the picture of the guy swinging the remote and follow his lead.
Tennis is fun, but gets old. Again, I had some trouble at first but found out it was because I always swung the racket to early.
Boxing is pretty good.
The training part is really fun, mostly the bowling one with the kadrillion pins. My record is 444 pins in that one.
Fitness is cool. I'm 31.
hours of fun, single and multiplayer
The training modes give the game even more depth, so definately a must-play!
I only gave 4 stars as I believe there is room for improvement. A possible Wii Sports 2 could give you the option of 8 - 12 players in bowling by moving the screen slightly offcentre & showing two lanes (with half a computer lane still showing either side of these) You would still only need 2 wii-motes as you can pass it on to your next team member) Tennis could include single player matches too!
