What's something you can hate about the game? It's the perfect tool to come packaged with the system. You can have fun making Miis (or taking them from friends on this site ^_-), and then taking them onto Wii Sports. This game is free and comes with 5 main games consisting of Tennis, Golf, Bowling, Boxing, and Baseball. All of which feeling somewhat similar yet totally different. Of course this gets a bit boring after awhile so it is then time to move into the minigames which can consist of, can you return 30 tennis balls, pick off the most impossible spares in bowling, or even a dodge ball type of game.
This game can't go wrong in the multiplayer function either, especially when it shows you what kind of system it is that you just bought, a party system.
This is a great game to show off the capabilities of the Wii and a lot of fun to play.

Excellent. Fun. Simple. What's more to love?

If you haven't already played a Wii, this is the game that will make you want one. How can I say this? This is exactly what happened to me when my friend brought over his Nintendo Wii for the first time.

I play sports games, and I love sports simulation games. I am a die-hard baseball, hockey, and soccer gamer. Wii Sports gave me what I've wanted, to put myself more into sports games. What this game shows the world is what is possible on the Wii. Its the first step towards a new generation of sports games.

In Wii Sports, you use/learn how the remote can be used in fun ways. For example, bowling. Bowling just might be the game to play in Wii Sports. Its seemless, its smooth, it handles great, and it feels like bowling.

The golf game in Wii Sports is just as fun as bowling. The use of the remote is extremely simple, making anyone who can regulate their swing into a golfer. Tennis is just as fun, and even more simplier, as the characters on screen move on their own, making your job that much easier. All you have to do in Tennis is decide what way to swing: forehand or backhand. That's it.

And the best thing about Wii Sports: it comes with the purchase of the Nintendo Wii. So you can get a amazing gaming experience without having to buy anything else besides the Wii.

If you like to play sports, this game is for you.

5/5.

WOW wow wow.

......or should that be Wii wii wii? :D
Very simple games, very simple graphics, yet addictive as hell.
My favourites in order from most - least played are:

1) Tennis
2) Bowling = Golf (both just as fun as eachother...joint 2nd)
4) Boxing
5) American Rounders (the only poor game here, but the other 4 more than make up for it)

Of all the discs I own Wii Sports is the game I put in most often and one of the most fun so far on the Wii.

...an excellent addition to the console package and a FUN game.

This game is ok, but after a while it gets pretty boring unless you want to be a pro in everything. I'm only pro in bowling (cause it is the easiest).
Very fun, yet it didn't last long before Wii Sports lost it's magic (for me at least)

THis is a great game that comes free with the wii console. It contains five sports including boxing, golf, tennis, baseball and also bowling.Only one of the games actually uses the nunchuck and that is boxing.Boxing is a great game to release you'r anger and also to strenghen you.You use both the wiimote and nunchuck for this as both of you'r fists and just beat the hell out of the opposition. As you go on they get harder with higher skill levels. Each time you win you get moreskill level and each time you lose you lose some. The amount depends on how well you did.Once you get to one thousand skill level you become proffesional at that sport.Next golf, you only use one remote for this and at the bottom right there is a map and if you click left and right on the remote you change the aiming area. You can click on up and down as well to change golf stick. At the top right there is the wind showing how fast the wind is,what direction it's going in and if there is any at all. There is a power bar to the left of you'r mii with the golf stick which if fills up to much can bend the shot making it a failure. On the map there is a line you'r shot will go in and it has 3 dots on it.On the power bar there is the same 3 dots and that means how far it will go.On multiplayuer boxing it's just who can beat who first and also once you get them down there is a count and if they get back up you have to take them back down a gain until there down for ten seconds. If none wins by the end of three rounds it goes to judges decision which is based on 3 points on the rounds and who did best in them.Back to golf on multiplayer you just play golf against each other and that's it.On baseball single player i picks a team for you and when you are batting you have to swing like you normally would in baseball and get either a homerun which is one point,a double which get's your mii half way round triple which gets him three quarters round and single which gets him quarter round.Afdter the mii has gone to a corner then the next mii in the team bats also played by you and then if they got a single the maii fro the turn before would also move.Once someone gets all the way round or gets a homerun then they get a point. If you miss the shot or it goes outside the two white lines you get a foul ball or a strike which is one white mark against you'r character. When they get threee marks then the characters out,if they only got one or two then that mii got A SINGLE THOSE TWO WHITE MARKS GO AND RESET FOR THE NEXT BATTER.wHEN THREE MII'S HAVE BEEN COGHT OUT YOU SWAP OVER SIDES.When pitching you just move the wii remote in a throwing motion and hold a to make it a screwball, hold b to make it a curveball and hold a and b to make it a splitter,if though the splitter is unsucessful you get a white mark against the pitcher which when you have three of the other tam gets a single. You bat and pitch for 3 turns then the game is over but if you get 5 ahead then it is mercy rule and the people who are five ahead win.Pitching mii's don't need you to operate them and are automatically catching the balls,If the ball get's caught by a pitcher the person who hit it is out.You can also luckily get the ball out of the park getting you a homerun. On multiplayer one bat's and the other pitches.Bowling is the easiest game to pick up.Simply to move you'r mii across you use the arrow keys at the top of the remote and if you click a then use the arrow key's you can put spin on the ball. You then hold b at the back and bowl. You can get a strike for getting them all down in one or spare for getting them all down in two shots. The person has two shots then it is either there next go or the opponenst bowl. The amount of pins they get down are the amount of points they get.You can also make the crowd jump and scream by letting go of the ball on the backswing. And you can throw it in to the other peoples lanes.Whoever has the most points at the end wins.Tennis is the best. You can play 2 on 2 on multiplayer and to serve you click a and then swing the remote above you.The people at the pther side have to hit it backby either using backswin g or swinging normally and if one team hit's the ball and it bounces twice on the other side of the court they get a point. If they hit it and it goes out of the court in one then it is a out and the other team gets a point.Getting 45 points give's you a game point and if you are playing a single game then you would win by now.But in best of 3 or 5 you need 2 or 3 game points. At the start you can choose to use bothe the front and back person as you' mii or that sort of thing. If a person hits the bll and it hit's the net they lose a point.Training activities also help and a daily test gives you a fitness age including three training excorcises. The game is great and for gameplay we rate it ten,9 for graphics,9 for duration and ten out of ten for overall. This was rated by gamegodmagazine.Review written by sam wood.See more at alifeoftime.piczo.com

Man. I'm so good at the bowling in this guy. It's the best minigame by far.

Baseball is the worst, just not much to do.

Golf was a tricky guy at first, but I've gotten better at it. You just have to make sure you follow the instruction book. Mostly just look at the picture of the guy swinging the remote and follow his lead.

Tennis is fun, but gets old. Again, I had some trouble at first but found out it was because I always swung the racket to early.

Boxing is pretty good.

The training part is really fun, mostly the bowling one with the kadrillion pins. My record is 444 pins in that one.

Fitness is cool. I'm 31.

Very nice game, the motion sensor and Wiimote sensibility works very well with this game. Put aside the fun factor, you've got to exercise (in a way) too.

The game I can never stop playing, it's one of those games where it's so easy to just pick up and play you just have too. You've only got a couple of minutes before you go out, ooh i'll have a qiuck tennis match. This is a master stroke of ease.

You will not get bore of this game fun for evrybody.
great all round family fun gets us all laughing
This game is great. everyone's gotta like the feature of putting your Mii's in the game. all of the sports are fun for everybody. although, atleast in baseball, tennis, and boxing, it could get a little too hard to the extent to where its almost impossible to get anything that can come to "your side" when you get to over 800 skill level.

An excellent game to show your friends and family the power of the wiimote... Make sure you get a second Wiimote, because it's just awesome, when you play Tennis with or Boxing against a friend!
The training modes give the game even more depth, so definately a must-play!

VERY FUN GAME! But it gets boring real quick its a great game if you plan to bring the whole family together and play.
This is really fun but i wish that their were more games for this like soccer or hockey
it is a fun game in the beginning but it gets old and you start to lose your momentum while playing it.

This is a brilliant introduction into what the Wii can do! It also makes great use of your Mii creations. The Training and Fitness modes add extra life to this title.

I only gave 4 stars as I believe there is room for improvement. A possible Wii Sports 2 could give you the option of 8 - 12 players in bowling by moving the screen slightly offcentre & showing two lanes (with half a computer lane still showing either side of these) You would still only need 2 wii-motes as you can pass it on to your next team member) Tennis could include single player matches too!
