Too long of a campaign mode and not enough info on how to unlock characters... Strictly for DBZ fans. But once you know what to do, it's real simple. I will not recommend it for lil kids simply because it'll be too hard for them to comprehend check out an online guide and play from there. Gameplay is very good. 2 player fighting is awesome. (Useful: Certain characters need items so that combat will be fair and change your strategy on powering up you ki with players like the ginyu force.)
really great fighting game, easy to control. Haven't played two players though.

+ Over 120 unlockable characters!
+ Great for DBZ fans
+ Good fighting engine
+ fun gameplay from wii controler

- You can get thumb cramps if you play it for too long at a time
- Some characters seem too identicle, but not many.
- slightly repetitive.

Excellent game, motion controls keep the gameplay interesting. Only problem I have is that either a char is rigged or totally lame but with 129 theres a great selection. Music is what youd expect from a fighter and there are almost as many tracks as there are characters. There are only about 7 different motions to pull off every different super in the game and most characters have either the same button presses combos supers or stance (which is expected when you have 129 but its kinda rediculos in this game). The fighting is fun if both players either dont know what they are doing or know the char they are using perfectly. Other annoyances are the lock-on and teleporting but they are minor.

The game is fun no doubt It goes through all of the movies and series but skips some of my fav parts. The difficulty can range from super easy to amazingly difficult and when said difficulty occurs it occurs in the way where you believe the computer is cheating (I see why some people threw their wiimotes into the tv) maybe its because im doing something wrong (I havent played a dragon ball z game since I modified my old ps1 and ordered 3 from japan) After long playing sessions my wrist begins to hurt..maybe its just because im a weak ass but thought I would report to others nontheless. All in all good game though.

Great fighting game for the hardcore crowd. Controls are pretty complicated, but nice when you get used to it. Not for non-gamers.

This game is a 5 star game if you are a Dragon Ball Z fan if not any one who enjoys a good fighting game will still enjoy this . . . I do not like dbz and that is the only reason why i gave it a 3 not a 4

Very fun game. Huge wealth of characters, especially cool to see ones from GT and the movies. While the story mode is rather repetitive, the battles are still fun, especially when they get really fast. Definetly one for the Dragon Ball fanatic.

If you try to play this on PS2 (or have before), or with a Gamecube controller, you'll realize how much better and easier it is to play with the Remote and nunchuck.
This game is cool and pretty fun if your a dragonnball z fan and all.. the characters here are great to use.

i thought there would be more use with the nunchuck and remote as far as punching and stuff.

This is one of the best games in the series.
at first I was frustrated with the controllers; but when I got the hang of it I could not stop playing. The down part of it is that you pretty much fight at the same place over and over and the Z Fusion items are hard to combine.
Over all it is very fun to play.
great fighting game
lots of characters a DBZ fans dream
For the DBZ Fans...ONLY!
harder o play than the ps2 version, but funner once u get the hang of it,
The best DBZ game EVER! I challenge whoever feels like accepting.

Awesome if you remotely like Dragonball.
this game is great
Most challenging game I've ever played. And the story line is immense.

It's an ok game to the normal gamer. I won't say much on this one. It is definitly a four star for the hardcore Dragon Ball Z® fan.WARNING: Don't by this if you're lazy!

This is a game that shows that the wii isn't just a kiddie console. A fun game weather your a fan of the show or not. I never have liked the show but its a good little taste test of the games of it's genre coming out on the wii. The story mode is a little shorter than I would have liked but with a ton of characters to unlock, and a lot of secrets, this is a title that will keep you over for a time. They could have added a few more things, but overall, its a good game and if your in for some fighting action before brawl comes out, pick it up.
If it isnt your type, or your not sure about buying it, its a solid rental.

Probably the best fighting game for the Wii yet!
This game is beautiful. Not perfect but definite must for DBZ fans. The gameplay is intense and reminds me of the SuperSonic Warriors series. The Wii controls need getting used to, but you can use the classic controller so that cancels out that downfall. I especially like that you can turn on Japanese voice acting. This is a plus for people who don't like american dubbing. Story mode is long, it will take you a couple hours just to get through the Saiyan Saga. And some matches are insane. The match where you have to fight #18 as Hercule in the World Tournament may have you throwing you wii out the window and send you to anger management classes (Hercule lacks a lot of abilities other fighters have like dodging, he can't stay in the air for long so you'll find yourself falling onto the grass outside the ring giving you a ringout at random times, plus his attacks are super weak, enemeis will be unphased by his punches, whereas #18 does not hold back in the fight. Hercule is an utterly useless character.)Other than that, this game is a wet dream for any DBZ fan and Wii owner.

I think it's the best DBZ game yet!
not only is this one of the only anime games that got good reviews but it's one of the most fun 3d fighting games i've ever played. i've always loved dragon ball anyways because of the intense action and how insanly destructive the battles are. i've always wanted powers like goku, such as super human stregnth, super speed, the ability to fly, the abiltity to burn someone to a crisp with energy beams from my hands, all that good stuff. i do agree that the story is a bit weird and i admit that if this was on a console with a standard controller it wouldn't be anywhere near as fun, but luckily the wiimote controlls for this game are great. they do need some getting used to but luckily the training/practice mode explains well enough that the controlls become easy to use but never become to simple. plus, once you get the hang of how to use your special moves the game becomes a lot more fun.

great, my first time with DBZ BT2, and i realy enjoy learning moves!!
This game was awesome, which is funny for me to say, giving the fact that I've really never seen the show. Performing the Blasts and Super Blasts was cool, but multiplayer is even better (mostly becaus I win all the time)! Too bad it's not online, but I think it suits its price.

This game is pretty amazing, it literally uses every facet of the Wii controllers! I am not a huge fan of the anime, but I really really enjoy this game because the controls and the way the game plays. Its a beaut!

Boring as a single player, fun as a multiplayer!
+ Dragon Ball Z!
+ Big arena’s
+ More than 100 karakters.
+ special moves with the Wii-Mote.
+ Long gameplay
+ Multiplayer.
+ Sound.

- that the only way to go level up is with the z-item's.

For me this game gets a 10/10 .
For non-DBZ fans it shal be a 8/10 i guess.

I'm always getting asked about this game and as a long running DBZ fan I was more than a little dissapointed. Okay, so there's over a hundred playable characters, but the movesets are almost identical. The story is immense, including sagas, movies, specials, GT and even some unlockables(no spoilers here). There is, as always in the Budokai games a password system, which is, at best, shoddy. They've stuck with the Tenkaichi version of equipping attributes (eg. +2 health, +1 ultimate blast etc.) and intergrated it with levelling up which is a MAJOR improvent. All in all it's a good enough game (it is not 60 hours long no matter what anybody claims). However, it doesn't live up to Budokai3, and YES I realise that the Tenkaichis are not sequels and that a different company makes them and NO I am not a Sony fangirl.
One last thing, the music improved a great deal but I think it's physically impossible to make the voices more annoying than they already are. Personally I'd have preferred the long drawn out death rattle of a man being subjected to Chinese Water Torture.
Enjoyed it all the same
