Got the Japanese version of this. It was pretty fun for the first few levels, but in the end it just seemed kinda dull. Only a handful of tracks played over and over gets boring.
But you shake left right left right with the nunchuck/wiimote to bongo until your speed is full, then you're simply moving left and right as you cruise at max speed. If you hit a turbo boost you can hit barrels and essentially continue to boost until you miss a barrel (ending credits see how long you can keep a boost going)
So, its alright, but not exactly the best racing game ever.

I got this game when it first came out, and it's so much fun! It kind of reminds me a little bit of both Diddy Kong Racing and Mario Kart from the Nintendo 64. The graphics are great, and it's really fun in multi-player mode! Also, the controls are very creative!

At first it was a little difficult to control my racer. But after 10 minutes of practicing, I started to get the hang of it. The gameplay is tiring (my arms hurt) after a while of playing. The courses are good at first but there are about 7 different courses.(there are a lot but most are remixs' of the original or are played backwards) This game is hard to put down and is fun. Don't get me wrong on that! It's still fun!!!

The controls for this game were a bit odd, with the Wiimote controlling one racing engine, and the nunchuck controlling the other (sort of like Podracers from Star Wars). Difficult to control the racers. You're better off waiting for Mario Kart.

This game is underrated. Yes, the on-rails feel is annoying, but the items and course layouts are good. It's also a lot more skill based than Mario Kart Wii, for those who are competitive.
