yeah, (and not just because i got rid of monkeyball and splinter cell).
One thing i noticed though when i popped in the game was the fact that i could not just hop into the action i had to do a few tutorials, Now this normaly annoys me but im kinda glad as this game is no normal racer, No, it has you doing stunts, bashing others, Jumping through hoops, drifting, dodging trees, Jumping, all For some good old stars.
--Each race has you trying to come first while at the same time getting a certain amount of stars, for instance you cannot win by just coming first you have to do some stunts, you get a max of five stars for each stunt depending on how long the last for, Such as how long you are in the air, or how many trees you manage to dodge, once you have enough stars all that matters is getting to the finish before the time runs out, or if you feel you are going to come first anyway, you dont even need to get all the stars as you get a nice hefty sum of 50 stars for coming first. Graphic wise this game on wii is a real stunner in my opinion, the water EFFECTS are not great but the water itself is excelent, so are the cars but some of the pixels look a tad blocky.
--Unlockables, there are a fair few trucks to unlock each with their own stats, and with paint jobs to unlock with them. also you have to get top rankings on each race to unlock a harder mode of the game, and then there are also challenges to do s there is a fair bit of things to keep you going. and with the added multiplayer adds a whole new life to the game. One down side though is no online play but we all knew that anyway.
--Other downsides are, controls take a bit to get used to as they may
seem overly sensitive, to begin with (and it has no sensitivity options),
also the single player mode is rather short, unless you can be bothered doing each race over n over untill you get an S grade in each, to unlock Super excite mode which could possibly add on a long time but, its basically same thing over and over again.

this is one of my fav games, i also love the option to play your own mp3s.
Excite trucks use of the sd card lets you play to your own songs.
You´ll find a lot of crashing, and high speed races in this game. Controls are nice, jsut as you´d expect in a racing game.
Single player is kinda short. Online multiplayer wouldave been greatly appreciated. 4/5
Still, when i want to have fun with friends, this is perfect for the time.
+ Clean graphics
+ Fast speed and lots of jumps
+ Smooth controls
+ Tons of trucks/buggies
+ Varied tracks
+ Good music and you can make your own soundtrack by using an SD card.
- No online multiplayer
This game has a very open feel to most of the courses and you can romp through the forest when you get really good. Super Tree Runs :)
Please at least rent this game or borrow it from a friend. The controls may take you some time to master if you are not a hardcore gamer but it is a fun ride the whole way through!
A Wii launch title and spiritual sequel to Excite Bike (which unfortunately I've never played). A racing game where the point isn't just to win a race, but also getting as many points as possible. Points are earned by crashing into other trucks, getting air time, driving fast through forests, and performing spins in the air. But that doesn't mean you can forget about actually placing 1st in the race, since the winner of the race earns extra points. There;s more than just racing in the game as well. Smash other cars in a time limit, or try to pass through checkpoints. The game can even play MP3s you have saved on an SD Card. Controls can be overly sensative at times. You steer your truck by tilting the Wii Remote, and sometimes the truck can turn too far. It's also easy to lose control at high speeds and crash into a tree or rock and let your opponents race on by you. It can be frustrating but it makes it much more satisfying when you cross that finish line ahead of everyone else.
