Ten Canoes is a film made in 2006 featuring Australian aboriginal actors. It's a charming and affecting folk-tale on unrequited love and the strictures of societal hierarchy. Kurrdal plays the Village chief. After his errant second wife goes missing he embarks on a ill-fated attempt to rescue her from the mysterious 'River People'. Suffice it to say, it ends in heartbreak and a slow lingering death.
